Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LetsConvert handles your data when you use our free online tools. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible and to be transparent about how everything works.

1. Who we are

LetsConvert provides free online tools for working with PDF, images, Word, Excel and other file types.

  • We operate as a remote-first software team.
  • You can contact us anytime at support@letsconvert.online or privacy@letsconvert.online.

2. How our tools process your files

Most of our tools are designed to run entirely in your browser, using client-side technology.

  • For tools marked as "in-browser" or "local processing", your files are handled only on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
  • Where a tool temporarily uses a server (for example for heavy operations), files are kept only for as long as needed to complete the processing and are automatically deleted shortly afterwards.
  • We never sell, rent or train AI models on your documents.

3. Analytics and usage data

We use privacy‑friendly analytics to understand how our site is used and to improve our tools.

  • Analytics data is aggregated and does not include the content of your files.
  • We may collect anonymised information such as pages visited, device type, approximate region and basic technical details (browser, operating system).
  • You can use browser extensions or settings to opt out of analytics cookies where applicable.

4. Cookies

We try to keep cookie usage to a minimum.

  • Essential cookies may be used to remember basic preferences and keep the site working correctly.
  • Non‑essential cookies (such as analytics or A/B testing) are only used where legally permitted.

5. Personal data you share with us

The main way we receive personal data is when you contact us directly.

  • If you send us an email or submit the contact form, we will process your name, email address and any information you include in your message so we can reply.
  • We keep support conversations only for as long as necessary to resolve your request and maintain reasonable records.
  • We do not use your contact details for marketing unless you explicitly ask us to (for example by subscribing to a newsletter).

6. Legal bases & data protection rights

Where applicable data protection laws apply (such as the GDPR), we process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests or your consent.

  • You may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to certain types of processing.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@letsconvert.online and we will do our best to help.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data.

  • We use modern hosting providers and industry‑standard security practices for any backend services we operate.
  • Access to internal systems is limited to authorised team members only.

8. YouTube videos and YouTube API Services

Our tutorial videos are hosted on YouTube. We use YouTube API Services to upload them to our own YouTube channel and to show them on our pages.

  • By watching a YouTube video on this site, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
  • When you play an embedded video, YouTube and Google may collect data about that view. Google handles it under the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • We embed videos in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), so YouTube does not store information about you until you play a video.
  • Only our own YouTube account is connected to our API client. We never ask visitors to sign in with Google or YouTube, and we do not access, store or share any visitor's YouTube data.
  • The YouTube data our API client uses (our own videos' IDs, titles, privacy and processing status) is kept in our private records only to manage those videos.
  • Access granted to our API client can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we improve our services or to reflect changes in the law.

  • When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • If changes are substantial, we may also highlight them on the site.
