What is an image rotator?
Photos taken on a phone or scanned on a flatbed often arrive sideways or slightly crooked. An image rotator turns the picture by a right angle or by any number of degrees and saves it as a new file, so it displays correctly everywhere.
Rotating by an angle that is not a multiple of 90 makes the canvas larger so no part of the picture is cut off.
