About

What is a JFIF to JPG converter?

JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is a way of wrapping JPEG data, and some browsers and Windows versions save downloaded pictures with a .jfif extension. Many websites, forms and programs only recognise .jpg, so a JFIF to JPG converter gives you a file with the extension they expect.

If the only problem is the extension, you can often rename the file to .jpg. Converting is the safer route when a site still rejects the renamed file.

Same picture, standard name

JFIF images are JPEG images. The converter outputs a .jpg file that is accepted by upload forms and apps.

Re-saved at 92% quality

The image is decoded and saved again as JPEG, so there is a very small, usually invisible, quality change.

Batch friendly

Add many files and get all of them back as .jpg in one ZIP.

Stays on your device

Nothing is uploaded; the browser does the work.
